Are the three states of matter inter-convertible? How can they interconnect?

Yes states of matter are interconvertible. Best example for it is ice ( solid state) on heating can change to water ( liquid) and on further heating or boiling water forms water vapour( gaseous). On cooling the water vapour water is formed and further cooling ( freezing) gives ice.

Yes they are inter-convertible. Take example of Water, when cooled it turns to ice, a form of solid. When boiled, it turns to liquid state when the vapours are in Gaseous state.
