During my college years, I began tutoring students from Class I to V as a part-time tutor. Over the past year, I have gained hands-on experience in teaching core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and EVS, helping young learners strengthen their academic foundations. As a tutor, I focus on making learning simple, engaging, and enjoyable for children. I understand that students at this level need more attention and encouragement, so I use activity-based learning methods, visual aids, and real-life examples to explain concepts in a way they can easily relate to. I also make use of worksheets, reading exercises, and small assessments to keep track of their progress. While tutoring, I pay close attention to each student’s learning pace and style. I ensure that my sessions are interactive and supportive, helping them feel confident and comfortable while learning. I also guide them in developing good study habits, regular revision routines, and neat handwriting skills, which are essential at this stage. I maintain regular communication with parents to keep them updated about their child’s improvement and discuss areas that may need additional focus. Through this experience, I’ve developed patience, clarity in explanation, and the ability to build strong rapport with young students. This one year of tutoring during college has helped me grow both personally and professionally, and it has strengthened my passion for teaching and early childhood education.
