Fullerene is also an allotrope of carbon which is usually in a closed mesh-like structure formed by carbon C6 molecule with an alternate single and double bond.
The main difference between all the allotropes is that:
-Graphite structure is due to the hexahedral arrangement of carbon molecules.
- The diamond structure is due to the tetrahedral arrangement of carbon molecules.
-Fullerene structure is due to the spherical arrangement of carbon molecules.
This difference in arrangement causes a difference in their physical and chemical properties.
