Even though he has won many prizes in the Kata and Kumite tournaments, the one he considers special is the 1 st prize that he received from his master, Kyoshi Raj during the year 2012.

He began to learn the art of Isshinryu from the efficient master, Kyoshi Raj from 2006 to 2010.

He got the 1 st Dan on 31 st December 2010, achieved 2 nd Dan in May 2014 and his 3rd Dan was conferred during May 2017. Anandhakumar started taking Isshinryu Karate classes from 2011 to help many people learn the art of self-defense. His karate classes are offered across several branches, such as Alwarthirunagar, Chitlapakkam, Cholimedu, Pammal and Camp Road.
