I teach Carnatic music with a focus on building strong foundational skills in both vocal techniques and theory. Over the past year, I have been working as a freelance Carnatic music tutor, guiding beginner-level students in developing sruti alignment, laya understanding, and overall musical discipline. Teaching has helped me grow as a musician, and I enjoy introducing students to the beauty and depth of classical music.

I have undergone more than 8 years of formal Carnatic music training, which has laid a strong foundation for my musical journey. I am currently pursuing government music certificate exams, and I have already secured a central government certification with distinction in my grade examinations. My continuous learning ensures that I stay connected to the art form both as a student and as a teacher.

Along with my music training, I am also an aspiring engineer, balancing academics and the arts with dedication. I am a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and am currently pursuing a diploma at Jayalalithaa Fine Arts University. My background in classical dance further strengthens my sense of rhythm, expression, and discipline, all of which enrich my approach to teaching Carnatic music.

As a tutor, I primarily focus on learners who are beginning their journey in Carnatic music. I help them understand basic swaras, varisais, sarali, jantai exercises, and other foundational lessons that prepare them for further levels. I believe that a strong base is essential for progressing confidently in the classical art form.

One of my achievements includes securing a Grade 4 Carnatic Music Certificate with distinction, and I am currently preparing for my Grade 6 certification, which I will be completing soon. These milestones motivate me to improve continuously and inspire my students to do the same.

I conduct both online and offline classes, depending on what works best for the student. The format is flexible, and I make sure each session remains interactive and encouraging. I believe in patient teaching, personal attention, and steady progress to help each learner grow comfortably at their own pace.

My goal as a Carnatic music tutor is to nurture musical sensitivity, discipline, and confidence among students. I want them to enjoy the learning process while gradually mastering the essential elements of this rich classical art tradition.
