Teaching Experience in detail in Data Science Classes

As an AI/ML trainer, I’ve had the opportunity to teach and mentor over 250 students across various roles and geographies. At Brilliant Academe, USA, I conducted personalized one-on-one and group sessions for a wide range of learners—school students, university graduates, and working professionals—covering Python, statistics, data science, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI. I used tools like Zoom, Jupyter Notebooks, Python IDEs, and Anaconda to deliver hands-on, interactive sessions. I assessed each student’s strengths and learning gaps to design tailored learning plans that ensured structured progress. My teaching often involved simplifying complex concepts like transformers, large language models (LLMs), LangChain, prompt engineering, and Hugging Face models using relatable, real-world examples to help students build confidence and mastery. To ensure steady progress, I conducted regular evaluations and gave constructive feedback, adjusting my approach when necessary. Beyond technical instruction, I mentored students on career development—helping them craft resumes, prepare for interviews, and map out their AI/ML career paths. I’m proud to share that many of my students have landed roles as data scientists and machine learning engineers at companies like IBM and Cognizant (CTS). In July 2022, I worked as a freelance Python trainer with JPA Solutions, a Government of India MSME initiative, where I trained 20 students in Python fundamentals and data science through remote sessions. Going back to July 2019, I was also a freelance trainer with FITA Academy in Chennai, where I trained more than 150 students—including international learners. I provided both individual and group tutoring in Python, data science, machine learning, and AI. I always took time to understand each student’s learning needs and modified my teaching strategies accordingly. Whether I was helping them with technical exercises, job search strategies, or resume preparation, my goal was always to build a supportive and engaging learning experience. Throughout all my roles, I’ve consistently received positive feedback for my ability to explain difficult topics clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and maintain a student-focused approach. Teaching and mentoring in this field is not just my profession—it’s my passion.
