My journey as a teacher has been shaped by my work at Divine Daivik Diksha Music Academy, where I served as a Vocal Music, Veena, and Sloka teacher. During this time, I worked with students of various age groups, helping them build a strong appreciation for classical music along with technical proficiency.
My academic background includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Fine Arts (MFA/MVA), and a Master’s degree in Music (MA Music). This blend of academic and artistic qualifications allows me to approach music education with both structure and creativity. My formal training in music equips me to guide students not only in performance but also in understanding the theoretical and classical foundations of Vocal Music and Veena.
I focus on developing a strong base in classical techniques, voice culture, rhythm, and melody. For Veena students, I emphasize proper fingering, posture, and tonal clarity, while for Vocal Music, I concentrate on voice modulation, pitch accuracy, and expression. I believe that clarity in fundamentals is essential for long-term musical growth and confident performance.
My teaching experience at the academy allowed me to prepare students for recitals and assessments, helping them perform with confidence and discipline. I take pride in guiding learners through structured practice routines that gradually enhance their skills and deepen their connection with music. I also work with Sloka teaching, ensuring correct pronunciation, rhythm, and understanding.
I currently conduct classes in an online mode, ensuring focused and personalized instruction. Even in virtual sessions, I maintain a disciplined yet supportive learning environment, giving individual attention and clear guidance so that students can progress steadily in their musical journey.
In addition to regular teaching, I conduct examinations at an academy in Chennai and also guide students associated with institutions such as College London. I provide certificates upon completion of courses or examinations, offering students formal recognition of their progress and achievements. This helps motivate learners and gives them a sense of accomplishment.
My goal as a teacher is to nurture both skill and passion for music. I strive to help students develop discipline, confidence, and a deep respect for classical traditions while encouraging continuous learning and artistic growth.
