I have been teaching CA students for a period of more than 5 years now. What I understand is students fresh from school are more successful in clearing CA exams compared with the ones who join after B.Com. From my undertsaing the main reason for the same being, the lethargy and easy going attitude that sets in during college days.
CA requires if not anything else dedication towards studies and distraction free focus.
Students who pass out from school are still free from a lot of distractions that college life offers and hence are more suited for CA course.
