Mridangam

"I have been learning mridangam class with Radhakrishnan sir for more than 2 years now. Without any prior knowledge on Carnatic I met him and started learning from his classes. I am deeply impressed with his immense knowledge and experience in Music esp. the Ragas and stroke nuances. He not only teaches mridangam but also helps to understand the value and history behind these. I really enjoy playing for variety of Thiyagarajar songs that he sings, to help on my play practice. His meticulous attention to student in bringing perfection through one-one classes shows the music passion and his music service interest. He has the experience in teaching persons of all age groups and done music performance in various places. With all due respects to my Guru would love any new learners to also delight and experience his music journey. "

Mridangam

"When Sir teaches mridangam, it is as if the mridangam is singing the song. he teaches in that style. He says it is very important to know the song and play aligning to it and not just repeat the tala through out the song. also, he give hints on how other legendary mridangists like Umayalpuram sivaraman played in some concerts. "
