Prakash Balesh

I belong to a HINDUSTANI musical family, Well-versed in Kirana Gharana and Gwalior Gharana Vocal and Instrumental Music, Also inspired by tough music style (Patiala Gharana) and learning from father and Guruji Pandit S. Ballesh Sahab and I have been trained in HINDUSTANI VOCALS for 25 years and have an experience of teaching for more than 15 years in Chennai city Around.

Son and Disciple of Hindustani Vocalist and Shehnai Maestro Pandit S. Ballesh,I am the General Secretary of Tansen Academy of Music Chennai (R) (Tam Institute). I have done my Sangit Alankar from Akhila Bharatha Gandharava Mahavidyalaya and has finished my Vidwath Anthim from Karnataka State Govt Music Exam and B. Music and M. Music from Karnataka University.
I started my initial Hindustani Classical Music training from my grandfather Pandit Sanna Bharamanna at the age of 7 years, learning Hindustani vocal Kirana gharana from the Late Pandit Dr. DP. Hiremath of M.K Hubli for nearly 10yrs.
I was one of the early disciples of Pandit M. Venkatesh Kumar of Dharwad (Gwalior-Kirana Gharana Style ), Later, I learnt Patiala Gharana Khayal Gayaki from my father Pandit S. Ballesh. Currently I am guru of nearly 150 students in chennai teaching Hindustani music. I learnt the nuances of Tabla from Table Nawaz Ustad Nazim Hussain, son of Bharat Ratna Ustad Bismillah Khan.
