Vikram P

P Vikram is a full-time performing Carnatic singer. He has been learning from his father and Guru Sri S P Ramh for over 20 years, since the age of 4. He has performed at prestigious sabhas in Chennai like the Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, RR Sabha, Vani Mahal and at venues outside of Chennai too.

He has come to the performance stage after having participated in numerous competitions conducted by the Sabhas of Chennai, thus gaining rich experience and opportunities to display his passion and practice. Some prizes won by him are:
•Best Male Vocalist in the Spirit of Youth competition
conducted by Madras Music Academy
•Best junior male vocalist in the December Music Season
2023 of Vani Mahal.
•Overall winner of prizes in Mylapore Fine Arts Club's
annual competitions - 2019
•Runner up in Sangeeth Yathra Season 1 by Sankara TV

Having completed B.A an M.A in Sanskrit he has had the training to appreciate literature which has enriched his musical thinking.

Vikram is a serious young practitioner of Carnatic music who has learnt for a long period in a disciplined format and is thus not a votary of things like quick ascension to the concert stage but is certain that he can share and inculcate the passion and creativity he has with people who take his help and guidance.

He also plays harmonium and Veena, composes his songs and generally likes to use his creative faculty with abandon.
