Joash Arivan

I I am an educator and environment professional with a passion for teaching holistically. My background is in geography and environmental studies, with around four years of research and policy work across India, the UK and the US.

I teach geography from the ground up: physical systems, human and economic geography, maps and data, and the connections between them. In music theory I cover notation, rhythm, scales, intervals, chords and basic harmony, with ear training alongside so the theory stays usable.

Classes are online, discussion led and paced to the student. I work with school syllabuses as well as adult learners studying out of interest. Whether it is a monsoon system or a key signature, my aim is that you understand why it works rather than just memorise it.
