How can I improve my Reading and Vocabulary skills?

Hi Gaurav, The simplest, time tested and effective method for honing your reading and your vocabulary is by reading a good english news paper, I would suggest 'The Hindu'. Just keep reading any article/news that interests you on a daily basis and you will find your reading as well... ...more
Hi Gaurav, The simplest, time tested and effective method for honing your reading and your vocabulary is by reading a good english news paper, I would suggest 'The Hindu'. Just keep reading any article/news that interests you on a daily basis and you will find your reading as well as your vocabulary improving proportionately. This habit also improves your expressive ability a great deal. The only thing which we won't get by reading the news paper is 'Pronunciation' for which I would recommend watching CNN/BBC to learn how the native speakers of English Pronounce commonly used words and also thereby understand standard Intonation to some extent.. Wish you Good Luck Jai
