I have hands-on experience teaching crochet to learners of all levels, from complete beginners to those looking to refine advanced techniques. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation, starting with basic stitches such as chain, single crochet, and double crochet, before gradually progressing to patterns, shaping, and finishing techniques. I design structured lessons that are easy to follow, breaking down complex patterns into simple, manageable steps. I emphasise practical learning, ensuring students gain confidence by creating small, achievable projects like coasters, scarves, and accessories before moving on to more detailed pieces. I adapt my teaching style based on each learner’s pace and comfort, offering personalised guidance, troubleshooting common mistakes, and providing clear demonstrations. I also encourage creativity by helping students experiment with colours, textures, and their own pattern ideas. My goal is not just to teach crochet techniques but to create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment where students can develop a long-term interest in crocheting as both a skill and a creative outlet.
