I have played in the Premier National "A" Chess Championship at Neyveli 1988 which was won by GM V.Anand, Bikaner 1989 and in Hyderabad 1994.Experience of having played in 18 National "B" Chess Championships since 1983.
Winner of at least 40 All India FIDE Rated opens chess tournaments in India between 1981 and 1990.

I was the coach of the Indian Team in the Asian Continental Chess Championship at Ho Chin Minh City-Vietnam, 2012, in Golden Sands International Grandmaster chess tournament held at Varna, Bulgaria from 10 to to 18 the June 2013 and in the Asian Women's Chess Ch. at Shiraz, Iran-2017.
Prominent players I had coached for an extended period are GM Srinath and R.R.Laxman and IM Iniyan.
