My mom told me I was also like that in my childhood. That time she brought a lot of storybook for my attention & patience. Then slowly, I got addicted to the storybook. Then she placed non-fiction books instead of storybooks after my attitude was changed.
So, now I encourage my students to read books (fiction or non-fiction) until they get used to it. They will quickly move to the next step without anyone help.
Also, please don't give him a mobile or tv. 1st standard is a primary age to learn. So feed excellent and positive life base stories.
