External flow commonly lead to natural erosion like, soil erosion that remove soil, rock, or dissolved material from one location on the Earth's crust, then transport it away to another location. This soil erosion could be because of wind or river flow. However, in internal flow like pipe flow, liquid flow causes erosion, i.e. removal of material from pipe surface, depending on the chemical properties of liquid and mechanical and physical property of pipe. read less
