Akanksha T. - “M.Sc. Botany | B.Ed. | PSTET Qualified | Making Science Simple, Fun & Easy to Learn”

I am a passionate and dedicated teacher who enjoys helping children develop strong academic foundations and a positive attitude towards learning. I teach students from Classes 1 to 5 in English, Mathematics, Hindi, Punjabi, Environmental Studies (EVS), Science, and Computers. I also teach Science to students from Classes 6 to 8. My teaching approach focuses on making concepts easy to understand, encouraging curiosity, and helping students gain confidence in their abilities. I believe that the early years of education are essential for developing the knowledge and skills that students need for future academic success.

I have completed my Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Botany and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). I am also PSTET qualified, which has strengthened my preparation for the teaching profession. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in Science, particularly in Botany, while my teacher training has helped me understand effective teaching methods and the importance of adapting lessons to students' individual needs. I aim to combine my subject knowledge with a student-friendly approach to make classroom learning meaningful and productive.

During my B.Ed. teaching internship, I gained teaching experience in Science and Biology, including teaching students of Classes 11 and 12. This experience helped me understand the importance of clear explanations, structured lessons, and regular interaction with students. Along with my experience in teaching, I am comfortable guiding younger students across multiple subjects and helping them strengthen their basic concepts. I understand that every child learns differently, so I focus on identifying areas where students need support and explaining topics according to their level of understanding.

My teaching methodology is based on careful lesson planning and interactive learning. I prepare lessons according to the student's class, syllabus, learning level, and academic requirements. I begin with fundamental concepts and gradually introduce more detailed topics to ensure that students develop a clear understanding. I use simple language and examples from everyday life to explain difficult ideas. I also encourage students to ask questions, participate in discussions, and share their doubts freely. Through regular question-and-answer sessions, I make lessons engaging while checking whether students have understood the concepts being taught.

I focus on building strong fundamentals across the subjects I teach. In Mathematics, I help students understand basic operations, formulas, and problem-solving methods through step-by-step explanations and practice. In English, Hindi, and Punjabi, I work towards improving language understanding, reading, writing, and vocabulary according to the student's level. For EVS, Science, and Computers, I explain concepts in a structured and practical manner to help students understand how they relate to everyday life. My aim is to ensure that students develop a balanced understanding of their subjects rather than relying only on memorisation.

I conduct my classes online and use PowerPoint presentations and a whiteboard to make lessons clear, organised, and interactive. I incorporate practice exercises, revision activities, and regular assessments to reinforce learning and monitor student progress. I pay attention to the areas where students face difficulties and provide additional explanations and individual guidance whenever required. I believe that consistent practice and timely feedback help students identify their mistakes, improve their understanding, and become more independent in their studies. I also ensure that lessons progress at a pace that allows students to understand and apply what they learn.

As a teacher, I believe that patience, encouragement, and consistency play an important role in a child's academic development. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and learning from their mistakes. My goal is to help students from Classes 1 to 8 strengthen their subject knowledge, improve their academic performance, and develop confidence in their abilities. I look forward to supporting their educational journey through clear explanations, interactive lessons, and personalised attention, while helping them build a strong foundation for continued learning and success.
