Why are network engineers (CCNA) required when all the devices are programmed to work automatically by themselves?

You can not automate everything, ex. Troubleshooting can not be automated completely. Yes automation can help in tshooting an issue but a human intelligence is reqd. Also to automate something u need people who understand the technology inside out.
