I would suggest you to first get in to a job with a private financial firm or a chartered accountant firm and learn the work by handling the clients for a period of time and then you can start your own business in next 2 years with confidence.

Hi Priyanka, It's good that you have an entrepreneurial mind. I don't see any nexus between pursuing CWA and doing some business. The business line even I guess is undecided yet. Most of the CWA's in my life I have seen either working in accounts and finance field if they are in service or in consultancy for indirect taxation if they are in practice. Some are even in costing areas like in big pharma companies but then the positions are very limited. As you seem to not have pursued MBA, the peculiar business skills may come within you only subject to your intellect, your approach and mainly your passion into something in specific. Pl decide a business first, don't see the glamour aspect but the hard work you need to put in. If you are ready to give 3-5 years, that's a good span for a passionate businessman to develop any kind of business but then I don't see any room for your qualification as a CWA. Pl be clear what are your interest areas instead of seeking guidance from others, they will give it from their windows of opinions. Know your passion, what you are good at, how much can you put to get the desired returns and the right amount of patience will scale you to desired height. All the best! read less
