Monoline pen (which creates a line of same thickness irrespective of the pressure you apply on the pen) like your regular ball/ gel pens and even a pencil is great to begin with. This way you only focus on the basics of the strokes of calligraphy. Therefore, you will be able to create beautiful calligraphy quickly. This type of calligraphy is called faux calligraphy.
