CA refers to a Chartered Accountant - a specialized person who has expert knowledge in Accounting. A CA gets his professional degree /certificate from a premier institute known as INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS OF INDIA, based on this degree he can either he can start his career as an EMPLOYEE in any organization or he can PRACTICE in the areas of his interest(Example Direct tax, Indirect tax, Accounts and so on) by rendering services to the clients. CA Course is a professional course which starts from an entrance exam Common Proficiency Test (CPT), then CA-IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course) and then CA-Final. After writing these exams, you can be a Chartered Accountant. However, you have to complete Articleship (training under a practicing Chartered Accountant) for specified number of years. read less
