The continue statement in C programming allows the control of execution to be passed to the next iteration of the loop. The statements written after the continue statement are not executed if the continue is executed.

Continue is used mostly in loops. Continue says "skip the rest of this, but act as if you'd executed it, then start another iteration of the loop". It's used when you realize (or the code does) that this iteration of the loop isn't going to produce a useful result.
