If I want to learn Java, is it necessary to know about C language?

It is not necessary to know about C language if you want to learn Java. But some syntax are same.

If you learn C Language you can understand and able to write the logics otherwise you can understand the concept. Logic point of view you will be little bit back. So better to C Language.

need not but if u have knowledge on java u will easy to learn else u have to put some effort ...any how chooose best trainee if u jump directly java

No not at all.. you can directly learn any language. BUT c is a basic language ,which you can learn if you want to improve your logic thinking/writing ability.

Obviously it is not necessary, though both languages share a lot of similar syntax. If you know any other language then you will probably get advantage to learn Java. If not, then also its fine. You can start a fresh with Java.
