No it's not important. We require a different kind for perception for each programming language. As long as we practise and implement datastructures and algorithms any language can become your strength.

based on interest and based on ur way of understandability ... take better staff for guidance they can teach easily based on u level of access

it depends on your concepts if ur basics are strong then it would hardly takes 1 hour ...and everyday give 15 min to do programs ...
