No.. You have to be very well profound with the language. Placements look for advacned talents and not just basics.

Recent 2018-19 placements are really focusing on marker trend technlogoies like .NET, PHP,javascript , angular js,embedded system,IOT,Bigdata,Machine Learning. Still companies are hiring those students who are pro level c coders , not like beginners but basic should always be clear.
