The basic topics of C could be taught in 1-2 weeks of time. However if we go to OS level in C then it takes lot longer. So timing depends on the course content.

If you already know a programming language then it shouldnt take more than 7 days to pickup with practice. If you are new.. you need to put atleast a month or two with regular practice.
