I would suggest you go through 'Let Us C' by Yashwant C Kanetkar. It's a much standard book.

This is very general question asked by students but according to me if you wish to learn Data-Structures and Algorithms you need to practice Algo and Data-Structures questions..as long as books concern I think Robert Lafore is good book.

For a beginner, I would recommend Algorithms by Dasgupta, Papadimitriou, and Vazirani. But if you want a book with Coding practices, you may read Data Structures Using C by Reema Thareja.
