Well if you have time and you are serious about both then you can do both but there appears to be some disconnect. Assuming you have done diploma in engineering it will be a good idea to join an engineering college for lateral course, get you BE/B.Tech. then move on.

You should concentrate on any one & achieve full marks instead of doing both with less marks.
