Hii Datta, Big data analytics is combination of Statistical methods, Mathematics and Computer science applications. If you want to begin then you have to begin with Linear alebra (Matrix theory) from mathematics, then you turn to Statistics. In statistics you have to learn quite more things as compare to Mathematics. From Statistics, you can start by understanding types of data, representation of data, exploratory data analysis these are few basic steps. In analytics part you have start from data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis and then the advance statistical tools as per the requrement of the analysis. These advance and basic analysis should be performed using one of the statistical software R, SAS or programming language like Python. So, overall big data analytics is quite lengthy process (average 6 months for a graduate from STEM). This is now the necessity of the world. So, wish you great going ahead. read less
