Geethu - As a starter, you can go with the basic entry level body like Canon 1200D, but it's the lens which matters. You need atleast a 400mm lens on a crop sensor body like 1200D to make decent bird images. Regards, Sudhir Shivaram Photography

Most DSLR can perform well in bird photography. To be precise this genre of photography is a feature with more dependency on the lens kit than the body. You will need a high zoom lens. For tight budget go with around 200mm or 300mm kit

hi, you can use any DSLR camera for bird photography,but LENS plays prompt role. you should use Tele lens for this genre of photography i.e above 300 mm lens. if you can't afford such lens you can go for converters,which can increase focal length of the lens.
