We cant predict the major usage of SQL in particular part, Anything which requires to have a strong data warehouse will definitely require SQL.

Hi, I have been working in IT from the past six years. My primary skills are Unix and SQL. Can I go for a Spark or Hadoop training? Do I need to learn Python for big data? Is there any skill I need to have for spark?
Python is not mandatory for learning spark. But if you have some core Java skills, that will be the add on to learn spark.

You should focus on the analytics part of Data Science, and not on big data. Analytics require knowledge of business along with Data Science skills.
