During my PhD carrier, I was mostly involved in teaching several under-graduate and post-graduate courses. The courses which I involved are General Chemistry (BTech), Basic physical chemistry (Under-graduate), and Supramolecular and macromolecular chemistry (Post-graduate). I strongly believe that I am able to teach these courses at all levels. Other under-graduate courses in which I am interested to be involved are as follows: Organic Chemistry and nanoscience.
During my teaching assistantship at the NIT Rourkela I quickly learned that a studentâ??s success in the classroom is not only dependent on their commitment to excellence but also on the capacity of the teacher to engage them in the learning process. To achieve this, teachers must also be equally committed to delivering the best quality instruction and incorporate principles in their teaching style that enrich the learning experience of the student. From my own teaching experience and the teachings of Indian philosophers like Jiddu Krishnamurthy and Osho Rajneesh, I strongly believe that the following points are most important in teaching and I follow these principles.
1. Homework
A teacher has to do homework on the topic of interest for the recent scientific developments. Because, I strongly believe that one person gets attracted to only the recent scientific inventions which are applicable to the present day society.
