IdentityMy greatest passion in life is teaching. I have experienced great success at school and at university due to amazing and unforgettable teachers. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be. I have been tutoring and teaching for 8 years in various settings – tutoring small and large groups, private individual tutoring.
The reason for being a tutor is simple. I want to be the one who can help the year 1 students, just like my previous mentors and tutors who helped me a lot during my year 1 studies, not only helped me on academic side, but also helped me adapt to the university life.Being a tutor is a new experience. Unlike being a tutee, a tutor has to do much more preparation, like reviewing tutees’ lecture notes and preparing questions for tutees. Even though these works used up some of my study time, I can refresh what I have learned in my year 1 study, to share my experience to my tutees and teach them how to study. Besides preparation, tutors are the one who teach the tutees, so we have to be a good listener and presenter. Teachers are actually coaches or facilitators that use variety of interactive and hands-on learning methods to help children learn various subjects effectively. These days, the teacher is required to combine new technological resources with the plain old traditional teaching approaches. Therefore, I will try to utilize my strong dedication to children’s development and their educational needs.
