Dhanashree P.

I am a software engineer with six years of industry experience, and I am now moving into teaching Computer Science and Mathematics. Teaching has been part of my journey for a while. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I helped students understand programming and mathematical concepts, ran practice sessions, and supported them one-on-one when they were stuck. Those moments when a student finally understood something confirmed that teaching is where I want to build my career. In the industry, I worked at Reserve Bank Information Technology (ReBIT), where I built a case management system from scratch as a full-stack developer, using Java Spring Boot microservices and Angular. The system replaced a paper-based maker-checker approval process with a secure online workflow. Doing this meant breaking a complex real-world process into clear, logical steps, explaining technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders, and making sure every part was accurate and reliable. These are the same skills I bring to the classroom. I can show students how Computer Science and Mathematics are actually used, beyond what is in the textbook. Logic, problem-solving, and structured thinking are what I used every day as an engineer, and I want to help students develop those skills with confidence. I am familiar with the expectations of CBSE, ICSE, and IB curricula, and I am committed to growing as an educator through feedback, observation, and professional development.
