Vidhya - Individualized Academic Support | Phonics, Literacy, Articulation, SEL & Play-Based Learning

I have an MSc in Psychology and a BA in Psychology, Sociology, and English. I have experience supporting children with diverse learning needs through individualized, structured, and skill-based teaching approaches. My areas of focus include foundational academic skills such as phonics, reading, writing, spelling, comprehension, vocabulary, and sentence formation. I also work on articulation, speech clarity, language development, and functional communication.

I plan and implement activities based on each child's individual abilities, learning pace, strengths, and areas of need. I use multisensory, visual, and activity-based strategies to make learning engaging and meaningful. My approach includes breaking complex concepts into smaller, manageable steps, providing guided practice, and gradually reducing prompts to encourage independent learning.

Along with academic intervention, I focus on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to help children understand and express their emotions, develop self-regulation, build social skills, improve peer interactions, and learn problem-solving strategies. I also incorporate play-based interventions to support emotional expression, communication, social interaction, and behavioural development in a child-friendly environment.

I offer **in-person sessions, online sessions, and home tutoring**, depending on the child's learning needs and family preferences. My sessions are individualized to ensure that each child receives appropriate support in a comfortable and engaging learning environment.

My goal is to help children strengthen their academic and communication skills, develop emotional and social competence, build confidence, and become more independent in their everyday lives. I believe every child has a unique learning style, and with the right strategies, consistent support, and encouragement, meaningful progress is possible.
