Tagore is eternal. Bengal has thrived in joy and sorrow with Tagore, and so has the country, and even the world. Tagore's songs are more than holy; they should be taught, learnt and performed with caution and respect. With times abusing the preciousness of Tagore's music, here's an attempt to revive all that is original and true.
Somdatta has been trained in Tagore for more than sixteen years by Shantiniketan singers and artistes. A dutiful student of late Smt. SUCHITRA MITRA, Somdatta, along with her mother Manidipa, are preparing to spread Tagore through authentic lessons, rehearsals, stories and plays.
