I have taught physics and mathematics in schools. The thing I noticed in school children's they are very much interested in real world. Like things that are happening in the realtime, like the things that are happening in the universe, what is the physics behind the real things? I taught students optics while teaching them,I always ask them deep intuitive questions. I observed that when students are challenged with questions, they tend to focus more on the topic, that the teacher is teaching. It makes them interested in the topic.

I taught control systems, Network analysis, machine ,power electronics and power system to B.Tech students. While teaching students, I ask them intuitive questions which makes the focus and attention of the students in the subject.So my observation is that Rather than just putting equations, if I try to explain the physics behind those equation, I explain the background how the equations are coming, how the physics and maths are interacting to give some concept in engineering. So while teaching also I will ask a lot of questions to the students which make them more attentive to the subjects and build a intuitive understanding behind the subjects.
