I am an English and Hindi tutor for young learners, specifically students from Class 1 to Class 4 following the CBSE curriculum. Though my teaching journey formally began five years ago, I bring with me over two decades of professional experience in Project and Transition Management in the Banking and Financial Services sector, which has deeply influenced my teaching style and work ethic.
While I continue to be active in my corporate profession, teaching children has been a deeply personal and rewarding endeavor for me. I started tutoring during the pandemic as a way to support parents and children adapting to online learning. What began as a voluntary initiative soon became a passion project, as I realized how much I enjoy helping young learners build language confidence.
My classes are online, and I follow a student-centered approach. I usually start by encouraging my students to read the lesson aloud—this gives them familiarity with the words, rhythm, and flow. This is followed by interactive discussions, comprehension checks, and fun vocabulary-building exercises. I make sure to address doubts in real-time so that students are never left behind.
I use engaging tools like PowerPoint presentations and curated videos to make each session more dynamic and visual. Children respond better when content is colorful, interactive, and story-driven—so I make it a point to design each class around those principles. I also adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and comfort level.
What sets my sessions apart is the balance I maintain between language skills and personality development. I believe that language is more than grammar and syntax—it's a medium of expression, confidence, and creativity. That’s why I always encourage my students to speak, write, and present in class without fear of making mistakes.
Through consistent support, feedback, and motivation, I’ve seen students drastically improve in both academic performance and self-assurance. Many parents have shared how their children are now more eager to read, speak, and even teach others. That, for me, is the biggest reward of being a teacher.
