Rony Shaw

I am a dedicated and passionate swimming coach with over eight years of experience training students across age groups and skill levels. My journey began as a competitive swimmer, and over the years, my love for the sport evolved into a strong commitment to teaching. Whether I’m training a beginner taking their first strokes or helping a competitive swimmer refine their technique, I bring the same level of focus, energy, and enthusiasm to every session.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree. But more importantly for my coaching career, I’ve undergone professional swimming training and participated in several certification workshops. These hands-on experiences have equipped me with the tools needed to deliver safe, effective, and tailored coaching sessions that meet the needs of each student.

I’ve had the privilege of being awarded in multiple swimming competitions throughout my career. These recognitions not only mark my personal achievements in the sport but also motivate me to push my students toward excellence. Beyond the medals and trophies, I take immense pride in receiving certificates of excellence for my contributions as a coach—these acknowledgments reassure me that I’m on the right path as an instructor and mentor.

In my coaching sessions, I emphasize discipline, motivation, and individual attention. I believe that every swimmer has unique strengths and areas for improvement. By focusing on customized techniques and maintaining a positive, encouraging environment, I help my students build confidence, enhance their physical abilities, and most importantly, enjoy their time in the water.

Communication and leadership are at the heart of my teaching. My ability to connect with students—whether they’re young children, teens, or adults—has allowed me to build trust and get results. I also work closely with parents and support teams to ensure each student progresses consistently and safely.

Currently, I am affiliated with Olympiad Ivy Sports Academy, where I continue to coach aspiring swimmers and support them on their athletic journey. For me, swimming is more than just a sport—it’s a life skill, a discipline, and a source of lifelong fitness. I’m committed to nurturing that spirit in everyone I train.
