An Overview
o My Guitar teaching includes the following elements:
a) staff notation (Western music notation) and guitar tabs (tablature)
b) Music theory and explanation for those interested
c) aural skills (ear training) to play songs (Indian film songs and western pop/rock songs) by listening.
d) Accompaniment playing for songs (you will get to play along with or jam with fellow classmates and the teacher)
e) Ideas to write your own music and songs
o Trained in playing classical guitar(finger stlye) in addition to acoustic guitar(plectrucm and finger style).
o Rudimentary knowledge of Indian classical music (basic skills in playing Sitar)
* Awareness of the Indian film music genre.
