Ever wanted to use the power of your camera its fullest capability?

Nuts and Bolts is a workshop on Basics of Photography. You will about Fundamentals of Photography, Camera and its functions, Technical Aspects and Settings, and the role of Light -- how to work with Light. A module on Lenses and Composition is also included.

Its a 1.5 days course that has 3 modules: 1 day of Theory + 0.5 day of practical field trip + 8-9 Image Review online (where feedback will be given on your work).

Course Content will be provided to you for future reference. And you can get connected to the remaining network of students and photo enthusiasts thru this medium.

Course Fee includes the Course Content, 3 Modules, Lunch + Refreshments and my fees.

§ Camera: Point n Shoot versus SLR, how they work, their advantages & disadvantages, transition from the analog to the digital era, Image Sensors, the mega pixel war

§ Technical Elements: [In Depth] Focal Length, Aperture, Depth of Field, Shutter Speed, Motion Blur, ISO, Exposure Compensation, Exposure Lock, AF focusing

§ Lighting: [In Depth] How to handle light, types of light, Metering (Evaluative, Center Weighted, Spot), Low light photography recommendations

§ Lenses: [Overview] Types of lenses, its applications and usage, recommendations for lenses to posses

§ Camera Features: [Overview] Photography Modes (M/Av/Tv/P/Auto/others), AF Area Mode, White Balance, Image Stabilization/Vibration Reduction, and Auto Vs Manual Focus & others

§ Only If Time permits: A short module on Compositions and few photography techniques [Overview]

I only recommend what I own and know. I have two Canon dslr caraems that are both excellent.The Rebel XS at about $ 500 with an 18-55 lens and a t1i with the same lens at about $ 650.Both are user friendly and easy to learn and operate. The hard part, for you, will be in class learning the relationship between ISO, shutter speed, aperture and light...  more » I only recommend what I own and know.
