Mayur Shinde

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering, where I gained a strong academic foundation in key subjects such as molecular biology, genetic engineering, microbiology, biochemistry, and immunotechnology. My engineering education provided me with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through rigorous coursework and extensive hands-on laboratory experience.

During college, I was particularly interested in molecular techniques, cell culture, and bioprocess technology. I participated in various workshops and lab training sessions that helped me build technical expertise in techniques such as PCR, electrophoresis, DNA/RNA extraction, protein purification, and ELISA. I also gained exposure to bioinformatics tools and learned how to analyze biological data effectively.

As part of my academic project work, I worked on research that involved microbial production, enzyme technology, or genetic modification (you can let me know the specific topic if you'd like it mentioned here). This experience not only strengthened my technical abilities but also enhanced my skills in experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific communication.

After completing my degree, I started working in the biotechnology industry where I focused on areas such as quality control, analytical method development, and molecular biology techniques. I have hands-on experience with qPCR-based assays for host cell DNA quantification, host cell protein detection, and other GMP-compliant analytical methods. I’ve worked with samples from microbial (E. coli, Pichia pastoris) and mammalian expression systems, and I’ve gained a clear understanding of regulatory requirements in biologics manufacturing.

Currently, I’m involved in Quality Control testing for advanced therapies, specifically CAR-T cell and gene therapy products. My work includes molecular characterization of anti-BCMA CAR-T cells, vector copy number quantification, and osmolality testing at the final product stage. I am familiar with working in GMP environments, documentation, and meeting quality standards.

My engineering background, combined with over 3.5 years of industry experience, has prepared me well for a challenging and evolving career in biotechnology, with a strong interest in cell therapy, molecular assays, and innovation-driven research.
