Dear Monali,
Reading and speaking Tamil ( any language for that matter) are independent of each other. One can talk without knowing to read. Speaking with the reading ability only enhances your language skill. Coaching for reading can be taken up online mode. Speaking, I am sure you are aware can be mastered by regularly conversing in Tamil with others, watching TV news debates, films etc.
Reading I feel one can pick up in 3-6 months. Speaking one can pick up in one month time.
