Overview

I am a Computer Science engineer by Qualification. But I left the field to do Drums full time in 2015. I have been playing drums since 2006 primarily for church events and have played with few bands like the Chronic Blues Circus and artists like Gabriel Daniel. I passed my Grade 8 in Trinity with 92% in 2019.
Teaching:
I am a teacher by nature and have taught Drums at Wings School of Music and NAD School of Music. Currently I am a part-time Drum Teacher at The International School Bangalore (TISB) and teach at my own Drum School, THE DRUM ROOM.

Teaching Philosophy:
I am a major efficiency and productivity freak. Therefore, my lessons are all structured and organised. I have created a syllabus which is 8 Levels and 80 Lessons. This is mixed with a song library of over 100+ songs to learn the drum grooves from.
Online Courses:
I am also working on creating Online Drum resources. As of August 2019, I have 1 free and 1 Paid Drum course available on Udemy. Search for Jesvin Mathew in Udemy to find the courses. I have been a full-time drum teacher since 2015. Have worked at Wings School of Music, NAD School of Music. Currently I teach at my own drum school, The Drum Room. I also teach part-time at The International School Bangalore. I teach with notation so that they can learn the written language of music and eventually be an independent learner. I do not take more than 2 students in a class thus making it possible to give as much attention to each student.
