I would suggest you shortlist your colleges first and their minimum requirements(CAT Percentile and previous education marks cutoff). Once this is decided start studying for CAT, you can buy some crash course book online start solving problems, and once you get to know the difficulty and bit of syllabus, you can start going to coaching so those people can't fool you with their over-hyped talks.
