About the Course


The ITIL Intermediate Level offers two principle streams of education;
Lifecycle and Capability -
each with their own series of certifications - and a final rationalization module, Managing Across the Lifecycle.
Each of the Intermediate certifications provides candidates with the knowledge, skills and competencies required to apply or manage the application of specific areas of ITIL Best Practice, in a Service Management environment.

Topics Covered

1).ITILV3 - Lifecycle Stream
The ITIL V3 Intermediate Lifecycle stream consists of five individual certifications or modules, each based on one of the ITIL Service Lifecycle phases, built around the guidance within each of the OGC core ITIL titles:
a).Service Strategy
b).Service Design
c).Service Transition
d).Service Operation
e).Continual Service Improvement

Each module of the Lifecycle series covers an introduction to the Service Lifecycle, the principles, processes, functions and activities within that stage of the ITIL Service Management Lifecycle, along with technology and implementation considerations.
2).ITILV3 - Capability Stream
The ITIL Capability Stream consists of four individual certifications (Operations Support and Analysis, Planning Protection and Optimization, Release Control and Validation, Service Offering and Agreements), which focus on a series of clustered process activities,

a).Service Offerings and Agreements (SO&A):
b).Release, Control and Validation (RC&V):
c).Operational Support and Analysis (OS&A):
d).Planning, Protection and Optimization (PP&O):

Each module of the Capability series covers an introduction to the Service Lifecycle, extensive detailed coverage of the processes, functions, roles and responsibilities,

Who should attend

These certifications will be of interest to individuals:

who have, or are seeking a role that is focused in a particular area of ITIL practice, that has fairly well defined boundaries of responsibility
who have an interest in, or require specialized, detailed process level knowledge
who wish to gain qualifications that offer intense, specialized knowledge in one or more process areas of ITIL Best Practices
who are looking to achieve a superior and well balanced knowledge of all ITIL Best Practice areas through ITIL V3 Expert Level certification, for which these modules and their accompanying credits are required

Pre-requisites

1).Candidates must hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate or V2-V3 Bridge equivalent, and
2).Candidates must attend an Accredited Training Course or Accredited equivalent

following are also strongly recommended criteria, but not mandatory:
1).who are looking to achieve a superior and well balanced knowledge of all ITIL Best Practice areas through ITIL V3 Expert Level certification, for which these modules and their accompanying credits are required
2).Candidates should complete at least 12 hours of personal study, using the syllabus and relevant ITIL guides, prior to undertaking accredited training organization.
