The key to achieving real beauty in singing even the simplest of melodies and songs is to be able to hold all the notes in tune. Being able to hit the right notes with the right expressions and tones is what separates blind learning from individuality in each voice. Music is not a mechanical form of art. Rather, it requires immense practice and surrendering of one's heart and soul into conquering a part of themselves.
The understated process to achieve inner peace, beautiful delivery in audio and visual performance of a musical piece and spiritual satisfaction is all down to mastering the basics. The 'Hold Your Tune' course provides intensive training right from the basic level to beyond the level that the boards label 'senior', bringing true meaning to 'learning' music.
The content of the 'Hold Your Tune' course focusses very much on exercises that strengthen the elements of tuning, grip of note placements, tempo, vocal projection and vocal chords. The techniques of practice and teaching incorporate bits of theory from different cultures of music such as Carnatic, Western classical, jazz and basic science that help students understand different levels and qualities of vocal conditioning, delivery, presentation, performance, tonal varieties and the impact of different techniques upon different parts of different structures of a composition. These are covered best during the basic, foundation level of exercises whereby lessons are incorporated for students that not only helps them sing better and nicer, but also helps them holistically and in health, as they understand their vocal chord better, also build better understanding of themselves on a spiritual and psychological level. This in turn contributes greatly to the increase in their self-esteem and self-confidence.
This course introduces an environment that makes students aware that they learn much more than music, when they commit to learning music.
