A constant speed body moving in a circle, the motion of this body will be called uniform circular motion. In case of uniform circular motion, the speed is constant but velocity is changing every instant. If a particle is moving in uniform circular motion:
1) Its speed is constant
2) Velocity is changing at every instant
3) There is no tangential acceleration
4) Radial (centripetal) acceleration = Ï?*Ï?*r 5) v=Ï?*r.
These are Some examples of uniform circular motion.
1. A moving hand of a clock,
2. A blade of a fan,
3. The revolution of the Earth,
4. A film tape on the projector.
