Guru Sri. B.K ShyamPrakash: Son of Guru Sri H.R Keshvamurthy and Smt. Sharadamma, had his training under his father and sister – B.K Vasanthalakshmi and Guru V.P Dhananjayan of Chennai. Later as a performer he has got special training in Abhinaya under Abhinaya Exponent Dr. Venkata Lakshamma conducted by KSNA. He has got special training in Choreography under Dr.MayaRao. He has got Mridangam training under T.A.S Mani for almost 16 years. He holds the Masters in Arts from Karnataka - University. He holds 2nd rank in both Bharathanatyam & Mridangam Vidwath Grade conducted by KSEEB. He is a B-high grade artist under Doordarshan. He has 30 years of teaching experience in Bharathanatyam. Under him many students have successfully completed Vidwath Grade and also Arangetram and have become performers and teachers. He is imparting training in Mridangam and many of his students have completed Senior Grade. As a performer he has participated and performed in many festivals all over India and also abroad countries like London, Germany, etc.
He has done main roles in most of Dance Drama’s of KNS. He has performed for some movies produced by Michigan University, USA. He has accompanied on Mridangam for well known Vidwans and Vidushis on both Music & Dance Concerts.
He was the Honorary Secretary of Karnataka Nrithyakala Parishat for more than 10 years.
He has established “Samskruthi Bhavan” for “Preservation & Propagation of Indian Culture” in the year 1993 which imparts training in Bharathanatyam, Carnatic Music, Veena & Mridangam.
He started “Keshava Samskruthi Sabha” in the year 2003 at Samskruthi Bhavan which is continuously organizing Music & Dance Concerts every month.
He started “Keshava College of Music & Dance” in the year 2005 which offers BA Degree in Bharathanatyam and Carnatic Classical Music affiliated to Bangalore University.
He has been awarded “Singaramani” from Sur Singar Samsad, Mumbai.
He has also been awarded “Karnataka Kalashree” Recently.
